Praying for You!!!!!

Praying!

Wow, I cannot tell you how Great God is!  In the month of February, we have had 8 Families visit VCC!!!  It is incredible to see how God is moving in our church.

Friday night we had the best worship service ever as friends from Champion's Centre came and blessed us with a night of worhsip.  God was so faithful and there was really an atmosphere of worship in the house!

As I preached, I could tell that God was moving in hearts.  The crowd was responsive and there was just an annointing on the service.

But the real miracle was Sunday.  There was a sweet spirit in the House of God, and three families came and told me that they have found their home of worhip!

Today, Our next ValPak ad hit the mailbox. I have already checked my mail and Nicholas sorted through all the ads to find the one for Valley Christian Center.  Our ad states, "This Card is Lost... please bring it to Valley Christian Center!"

We are praying for many requests right now, among them we have several people looking for work, some with interviews today!  I am praying that God will bring blessing into their homes with a new job - one that will bring finances into their homes, and not keep them away from the gathering of believers!

Last weekend FOUR families did not make it to church due to sickness.  I am praying for healing and health.

And I am praying for Easter Weekend.  There is a passion building and I know that God is going to do a mighty work!!!!

Keep the Faith, we serve a Great God.

The BlackOut Series

We are two weeks into the BlackOut Series.

I am so excited about the energy that God is bringing into our services with this.  Last week we introduced the new stage design, drum stand, and TWO crosses!  We introduced new lighting, dimmers, and a second light board!  The 5 hours that were spent setting up the 2.5 minute light display was worth every second!  It was incredible to watch it unfold.

This week, we introduced a new projector and used the 10 foot wide screen to show the new music video we recorded.  It was exciting to see how much enthusiasm everyone had for what is going on!

But the most exciting thing for me is the new faces.  Tonight there were 2 families represented that have never been in our church before!  Last week there was 1 family that has never been in our church, and 3 families that have not been in a while and returned to see what was going on.

The BlackOut Series:  Finding new ways to let our life shine!   I believe God is going to give us a heart for people this year!  I am excited to be serving with everyone at VCC.

My Liberty Offering Story

Greetings,  I hope this email finds you doing well.

I have a brand new Liberty Offering story for you to encourage you and get you excited about NEXT WEEKEND!!!!!

This morning I went to great extremes during the service to help you understand the potential in your life of what Liberty Offering is going to be!   I explained that as your pastor, I would feel bad if I did not help you to understand the opportunity that is before you and how I want to make sure that I present this opportunity to be blessed by God.  The link to the Friday Night audio is below, but I have to share this story as it happened to me on the way home from church today.

On my way home from church I stopped at Home Depot to pick up weed and feed.  I was standing in the isle wondering to myself if I should spend close to $50 (including tax) for the Scott's brand that I usually use, or save $5 and go with the unknown brand.  Know this detail because I was arguing with myself that $5 would be 10%.    I decided that I might as well stick to the brand I have used in the past since it did a wonderful job of getting rid of the dandelions!!!    Cara and I made our way to the front counter to pay for this expensive bag while I kind of stewed that it would be $50.  When I got to the register, the clerk looked at me and said that she has two damaged small bags, if I would like to get the 60% off.  I said "SURE".

We went and got the two bags and put the single bag back.  When the clerk ran the two bags, she decided it should be 70% off the second bag.   When I got to the register, I paid $12.   Can you Say "Liberty Offering Blessings"??????    HOME DEPOT just made a contribution of $38 to our Liberty Offering!!!!!

For more info on what Liberty Offering is, and how the money will be used, please listen to the second half of the audio below.  I believe that you will be encouraged to participate!!!!

Thank you for taking time to read this and listen to the attached audio.   It is the Audio from the Friday Night service!

Welcome Pastor Mike and Teresa Patterson

Wow, How long has it been since I have written here?  Well, it's time to introduce our new Associate Pastor and Worship Leader!!

Pastor Mike Patterson is going to be helping us out and I am so excited to have him join us.  I know that we are so blessed that God would send this family to VCC.

In a few weeks we will be celebrating Easter.  This was a huge change for the History of the Church.  Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose again.  It was the completion of the will of God to pay for the sins that you and I have committed.   Without this sacrifice, we would not be able to go to God and worship Him for who He is in our lives.

So it is entering this season of celebrating the change that Christ makes in our lives that we also celebrate the change that God is making in our church.  Help me welcome Pastor Mike and Teresa!   Friend's Day is March 25 and Easter is two weeks later!

See you at church!!!  (If not sooner)

Friend's Day

This last weekend we celebrated FRIEND'S DAY at Valley Christian Center.  We succeeded in having more people than ever before come to church on Sunday!  It was very exciting!

I never cease to be amazed at what we can do when we all join together and work toward a common cause!  I was amazed at how many people came that I did not know!   When all was said and done, I was not able to get a total count becuase I could not remember all the faces and names.  How cool is that??

I will continue to pray that those that came on Sunday will grow in the knowledge of Christ and that a seed has been planted that will grow into a marvelous work!

I am praying for you and your friends!

Thank you to those who worked so had to make this a great day!
